Classes are back in full swing and I'm already sick of them. Senioritis is a terrible, terrible thing. I think I just want to direct the two shows I'm doing and then leave. That's all. Get in, get out. No questions asked. Is that so crazy?
My music apprec. teachers treats us like we're in second grade again. If I have to repeat one more word after her or sing Mary had a Little Lamb while tapping my feet for the beat and my pencil for the rhythm one more time, I'm going to kill someone. It's so annoying. I think I'm going to physically harm that woman! Dance in Culture is an alright class, mainly because of the people I sit around. I'm the only non-dancer in that class, so it's extra crazy talking about how I view different dances and how they view them. Playing Shakespeare is always entertaining. As of right now, we're watching some really old videos that show Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen as they were 30 years ago. Believe it or not, they look almost exactly the same. So, we watch videos and take notes and talk about them. I'm going to see The Merry Wives of Windsor at Kentucky Rep soon. Yay! I think I'm going to make it a dinner and a show date with fixx for our anniversary. I can't wait!!
I'm getting together all of my crew and designers for Hansel and Gretel which is a ton of work. We have a huge production meeting on Monday at 8 am, where all of us directors are gong to have our ideas called into question by the faculty members. It's a funny process, because you get up there, give your presentation, which takes about 4-5 minutes and then they spend 5-10 minutes either discussing or criticizing what you've just said. Fun fun, eh?
Rocky Horror's also coming along fairly smoothly. Regretfully, we'll only be able to do in on Halloween night this year, but it's going to be at a great theatre!! Yay!!!! I'll keep you posted on how all that's going.
On a really, really happy note: Only 10 more days until the big one year anniversary!!! Yay!!! How time flies! And how the hell did he put up with me so long? I love you fixx!!!
