Now normally I don't like to ask people to donate time or money to anything, but this is for a good cause...
This Thanksgiving, spread the love a little further...Buy a pie from Mama's Kitchen's Pie in the Sky fundraiser and your $20 will be used to provide 7 delicious, nutritious meals to San Diegan men, women, and children living with AIDS or cancer at no cost to them. You pick up the pie at a designated pick-up spot in San Diego the day before Thanksgiving...I've made a commitment to sell 50 pies, so please help me by spreading the word! Help make the holidays a little brighter, and your dessert a little sweeter....

If you don't live in San Diego, and can afford even $1 to put toward this cause it would mean a lot. Additionally, if you could even just spread the word, post on your Facebook, anything, it would mean the world to me.
ABOUT Mama's Kitchen:
Mamas Kitchen was founded in 1990 when volunteers from the AIDS Assistance Fund, who volunteered at a small grocery store for low-income people with AIDS, discovered patients were dying from malnutrition long before their immune systems were overcome by AIDS-related infections. They realized that a reliable home meal delivery service was needed for patients too ill, isolated, or emotionally devastated to help themselves.
In 2006 Mamas Kitchen expanded our mission to serve people under the age of 60 with illnesses other than AIDS, and in 2009 the Mamas Kitchens scope was refocused to provide nutritional support to critically-ill local residents most vulnerable to hunger and malnutrition: those fighting AIDS or any type of cancer. Every day, volunteers package, prepare, cook and deliver nutritious breakfasts, lunches and dinners to over 300 individuals and their families free of charge. Mamas Kitchen is the only home-delivered meals program for people with AIDS or cancer that provides three meals a day, for seven days a week, serving clients across San Diego County. The Kitchens meals are designed to meet the complex nutritional needs of people with acute illnesses; they also provide vital nutritional assistance for people who are at risk of life-threatening weight loss and malnutrition. With proper nutrition, a persons quality of life is enhanced and their life-span is increased.
