I want you....to want....me! A friend sent me a link to that song. I forgot how much I loved them. I remember when I was in 6th grade, my boyfriend (yeah I dated and?) Chuck Ulbrich, tried to win me tickets to see Cheap Trick. It was through a radio station and he had stayed up all night to be the winner caller but he...

I'm glad that it's Sunday and there is no work tomorrow.
That means another glorious morning of running and not rushing to work! Fanatic? Yeah, I think so.
I no longer do what I want. I'm letting music decide my fate for me. That's all i've been doing this weekend. Discovering new and old bands. Some i've just met, others have been brought back up...

Morning buddy!
I slept pretty well last night and I think I was out just about the time my head touched the pillow!
I hope you at least got to see a flash or 2 and hear a couple of good rumbles in that 20 minutes last night. They have more predicted for us this week. I wouldn't mind having the thunder and lighting, but were getting a bit soggy and need to dry out.....if the rain could hold off for a week or so, it would suit me just fine. You can always make a trip back to the mid-west, if you get jonesing to badly for a good old fashioned T-storm. Actually, I hear the Dakotas are getting or are forecast to get some late season snow flurries......now that's kinda weird!
Today is going to be pretty quiet around here. Mom tried walking without me being there to steady her and took a fall on Friday. I think she fractured a rib and it's really hurting her this morning. We won't be getting out to the cemetery like we had planned.
Hope you have a great last day of "nothing"!

Wow....those are great desitnations! Yep, I can picture you on a big sail boat.....Captain's hat jauntily slanted to one side and sea wind and salt spray in your face! I'd add one place to your list....a small town in Switzerland, where my Mom's side of the family is from. They speak the German there, although it's their own variation of it. I've spent a few weeks there during all 4 seasons, at various times over the last 30 years......it's like living in one of those postcards that make you go Ooooooooo, Ahhhhhhh. I suppose living there full time would be a little different and probably get a little routine, but visiting for awhile is great.
You have good taste....I liked all the places you've picked out! Someday, I'd still like to visit Australia and New Zealand, get back to Scotland for an extended visit to look around and learn some more. Maybe even throw in a tropical island or 2 while I'm at it.......just for fun!
Yeah, I think we both were typing at the same time on our last posts.....kinda like slapping each other "tag" at the same time.

Ahh, memorial day weekend. A time for reflection and remembrance, for red bras and black garters.

Am I happy for a 3 day weekend or what?!
[ATTACHED=1]
This is the first time in over 13 years that I get to enjoy Memorial Day weekend. I'm loving it! My husband and his buddy are roughin' it and going camping. It's tradition with them. No, they are really roughin' or shall I say, ruffin' it. They don't use tents. Just open land. I...

Am I sad? Hell yes! Will I get over it? Maybe. Maybe not! I may never be the same again. EVER! The upside, well there really isn't any. I am happy for Ottawa. They are going to have to beat the Fucks. Anaheim is my new enemy. They must be destroyed.
I had a good day none the less. I went for my run. Oh,...

I do remember that you love a good T storm....I do too. But, for a few moments last night, I thought this one might be just a bit to big for it's britches! I unplugged everything I could unplug....the lighting was fast, furious and occasionally way to close for comfort.....the kind where you see the flash, hear the report and feel the concussion all at the same instant.....like I said, a little to close for comfort.
You have to keep in mind, that us rural farm folk eat our dinner at 12 o'clock high noon during the day. Our evening meal ( what you call dinner ) is supper to us. I forget when I write my journal to make the distinction.....sorry for cornfusion. Anyway, today for dinner ( lunch ) I fixed brats and fried cabbage.....good stuff!
I spent a part of this evening, with my 2 best friends...who just happen to be married to each other. We used to do stuff together all the time, but life and other things have gotten in the way a little the last few years. We made the decision tonight to flip life the bird and go back to the way we used to be. Maybe it's just that we're all getting older and we want to go back to being 20 somethings again....who knows....all I know is, that it's the best times in life when the 3 of us get together.
Hope you had a great Thursday!
TGIF tomorrow!

I watched and was disappointed for ya. I thought they were going to pull it out there for awhile. I did learn that they reviewed the tape of goals...which was something that I never knew....so it was educational for me as well. Anyway, sorry bout the Wings loss.....
I do a lot of online ordering too. Mostly because I have a hard time getting anywhere near a store, since I live out in the middle of Cornstalk Iowa. So, I'm on a first name basis with the UPS truck driver.
Yeah, I can tell you and your Mom are close from that photo. Just out of curiosity, is there some Scandanavian blood in your family? My Dad's side was English....landed over her in the early 1600's. Through the years they picked up some American Indian heritage. Mom's side is Swiss German. Makes for an interesting combination I guess.
I don't mind cats, as long as they are outside cats.....like out in the barn. I really can't abide house cats that stay inside all the time....it's unnatural and unholy I think.
