Feeling very lucky today. I got hit by a car on Tuesday morning while I was cycling to work. Hit the bonnet and rolled up into the windscreen before falling onto the ground...

Probably the scariest moment of my life I think - but no serious injuries hooray! I'm bruised up and a bit cut, most of my muscles are strained and there's a big swelling on my thigh where the car initially hit.

The driver looked pretty horrified but in my shock I told him I thought I was ok and he left me there. I hobbled to work - didn't really know what else to do, and they called an ambulance. The fire brigade rocked up first - not sure why, then the ambo's and police...god I must have been a sight to everyone arriving for work haha!

Back at home now, couldn't drive home initially so had to stay with friends - but I wanted a change of clothes and my own bed so I braved the trip home! Now I've got my comfy clothes, my Playstation and my prescription pain killers! Yay! And no work until next week - doctors orders!

Feeling a bit banged up, but overall really lucky. Think I maybe should have been a stuntwoman!
