I am itchy everywhere. It sucks. My knees. My face. My back. My head. I don't know why but it's going to drive me insane. Going to the doctor today. I think I may have an infection from the surgery. I hope not but then I would have to figure out what this horrible pain is. So maybe it's better that it's an infection because I think that's easy to cure. I think I'm going to take a nap before I go out there. I'm a little stressed out about something but I'm not exactly sure what. Whatever. I'll figure it out.
If anyone knows anything about UK universities it would be really helpful to me if you let me know if I missed an excellent and inexpensive one or if you know anything about these specifically.
So I'm looking at a crap ton of Universities. Although Oxford is considered the best university in the U.K. I wasn't that drawn to it. Of course you can't really tell from on the web, everything about a place. But so far my top schools (if I could pull off getting in and finding the money for it) are (and these should be in order according to preference):
University of Edinburgh. My top choice. It doesn't have the all the departments I'm interested in but it has a lot that I want to study and I would rather live in Edinburgh than London just because of the size of the place. I love cities but I think it would be easier to focus on school in Edinburgh becuase there are so many places that are kind of calming and not totally londonstyle packed and busy. Also Edinburgh is a gorgeous place! It would be fun to learn the city. (10th)
UCL (University College London). It looks like my top choice so far (Except the Location, but I love London enough that it doesn't totally put me off and this has more departments) but it's something like 24,000 a year. Uh...with what money you ask? Exactly the problem. none of them are cheap but this one is a little more than some other ones I was looking at. It's also smack dab in the middle of London so it would be easy to access but with that also comes some rediculous living cost. So we'll try and see if this one is even possibly on the horizon. Looks really good though.
Queens Mary (one of the schools in the University of London). Very prime logation and it has exactly what I'm looking to do. Nursing and Russian and a shit ton of other programs I'm interested in.
University of Manchester. This school has the most undergraduate courses in the country and it's rated as the 14th best school in the UK (out of like 115 or more). I've never been to manchester. It's a huge city just like London so I think this more depends on if I would enjoy living there or not. I think I would, I've talked to a lot of people from there who really love it.
University of Nottingham. (15th)
De Mont Fort
University of Brighton
Coventry University
Brunel University
OK. There are more but those are the tops so far. I need a 1200 on my SAT's to get in to any of them (I've never taken my sat's) and a 600 min in math, reaing and writing. Or I need a composit score of 27 on my ACTs. I don't even remember what I got on my ACTs. I had my high school send over a transcript but honestly I have no idea if that will even be on it.
