What a wonderful weekend...let me bore you with an outline of how it all went down:
FRIDAY- drove to Austin with a couple friends. Drank. Drank. Drank. Decided it was time for another tattoo. Not one of my best ideas. Didn't turn out that sharp. Drag.
SATURDAY- down to Austin again. Nope, didn't see Pinback, but did walk around 6th (I happen to be one of those people who honestly loves to make a fool of myself). If you guys are from here you are familiar with Leslie (an old wrinkled street bum who enjoys dressing in drag). He is a great man. Seriously. Nicest guy. Well, my friends and I stopped to speak with him and ended up asking if he'd like to join us for some famous music capital pizza. He agreed. Of course. Anyways to make a long story short we ended up switching gear. All of it. I was in the usual- tight jeans, cutsie sweater/jacket, stilettos... well, Leslie was dressed in no more than a pink lacy bra, grey high heels, and blue polka dot spandex shorts. Oh, he did also have a jacket. I think we both were drunk. Whatever. I took a stroll down 6th. A lot of people... well, not a lot, but more than seven, asked me for my autograph. Super stuff. Made for some unforgettable laughs and seriously cool pictures.
SUNDAY- cleaned house! I had 6 people crammed into my little ass apartment from the night before. There was mud ALL OVER my carpet. Beer spilled on my couch. Someone gashed their head in the midst of taking a shower- splattered blood on the inside of the shower out to the toilet seat. Puk.
Great fun, huh?
Oh! I also discovered my new favorite pastime....Borders Books. I spent four hours in there last night. I read two entire books. It was awesome. Just being alone like that. I haven't felt that good about something in a long while. Wanna go there every night. Think I will.
Anyway- today is yucky, but it's cool. Cuz, I get to look forward to READING tonight!!
Salute.
