I haven't posted a blog in a while (sorry! I told you I was awful at keeping up), but I've been doing my best to keep up with new sets in MR and I think it's time to put in a bit of effort in the blog department.
This week's homework from @lyxzen is asking us to share our holiday traditions. Now to be completely honest, I fucking hate Christmas. The holiday has no meaning to me whatsoever anymore because I just can't stand all the drama, family bickering, crying, whining... UGH! I've never been religious, and I think lying to your children about Santa is ridiculous. Like, hey kid, if you don't do everything I tell you to, you won't get any presents. Sounds a lot like, hey ___, if you don't follow the teachings of the bible then you'll be damned to hell for all eternity. Anyway, despite my best efforts, the rest of the world insists on including me in holiday gift giving. Thus bringing my to my one and only holiday tradition...
Whenever I open a gift on Christmas that is wrapped with a bow (you know, the cheap stick on kind), I rip them off and stick them to my head. I've been doing it since I was a little kid, and at this point it's like, fuck it, if I have to participate in the shenanigans I might as well have some fun. So there you go. It's definitely weird and not at all wholesome, but hey, that's just me.
