Well it's been almost a year since my last post (and over-all activity on this site), so I figured I'd give a fond Sieg-Howdy! Been awhile since I've talked to some of you, but hey! Never too late to get reacquainted.
Frankly, my life's been way to hectic to go over it all here (funny how fast things move when you're standing still), BUT!!! I do have things in the works that maybe you should know about, especially if you live in Boulder.
BIG NEWS
The Yellow Cab company is likely not to be the only game in town for long. How do I know? I'm part of an ownership group that is actively taking advantage of the cab deregulation that goes into effect July 1st.
This is good for two reasons... one, because monopolies suck for everyone but the company that has one. Two, because we will be direct dispatch, not computer dispatched out of Denver. (yes, I live in Denver, but we will be Boulder based.) That means no more waiting an hour or two come bar rush.
We need approval from The PUC first (which we should get no sweat), so it should be up in a few months.
ALSO
Contrary to what I may have said earlier, Ghost Train will go on... just a little different.
First, thanks Daniel and Angeluca for coming to the last one... Had a lot of fun before I got too exhausted (And yes, drunk) to see or stand. It was a sold out show and I hope you guys enjoyed it.
Also, this next one, The Hillbilly Hellcats' first Denver show in over 4 years, will be the last at the Oriental. Yes, we've severed ties and I'm starting to book elsewhere (The next two are going to be at Benders.) I've also teamed up with Zombie Rock, so that should be good for kicks, eh?
Anywho, enough bramble from me. What have you all been up to?
