Ok, so I think I"m going with Plan B. A couple of weeks ago I was in a car accident, and that is going to leave me with a few new bills I'll need to take care of for a little while. I've been pretty upbeat about the whole scenario so far, and honestly feel that often times these situations/setbacks are ultimately helpful. Sometimes we need our little ant hills kicked over so we can rebuild, or move in a different direction. My job has been paying me crap for awhile, and I"ve been working alot of extra hours for pretty much free. I told the General Manager that I had some new expenses come up, and I couldn't afford to work the hours I have been, for the pay I've been getting. I needed to at least have enough time to get/work a day job. We reached a (surprising amicable)agreement that I would stay on as a bartender, and that I could keep booking bands(that project actually is important to me). I offered to help out with the managment stuff until he found a replacement as best as I could(new job permitting), and I could bartend on any event that I put together. Seems like the best solution for all parties involved. It seems that tomorrow night might actually be my last night as a manager, as he's found someone else that can work the job, and I'm pretty excited. It's not confirmed yet, but I think I'll be getting a position at a fossil store, so I'll hopefully have a day job locked down too. That'll provide me with a steady income, and the bartending(which I'll most likely make signifigantly more at) should provide me with about the same hours per week(give or take), alot less stress, and alot more money. I'm looking forward to seeing how this new scenario will work out.
