Been a great couple of days.
Met a few new friends on SG.
Got a nice juicy contract that'll keep me busy for many a month, and its actually a cool project.
Had a great night out with some friends I haven't seen in ages.
Fiiiiiiinally finished the post work on a short we've been working on for 6 months, so we're doing the mass send-out to the festivals starting this week.
And just found out that my good friend Ric just booked Mark Mothersbaugh's 'Beautiful Mutants' show for his gallery starting in September.
Shit, why can't things always be cool like this.
In case you don't know him, Mark's best known as a meber of Devo (you know, the band), but he's also a killer composer for film and television and a great visual artist. His scores include Pee Wee's Playhouse, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Welcome to Collinwood, The Life Aquatic and a ton more. Just imdb him. It's insane. His art is what really got me onto him, though. He's fantastic. here's a link to his web site and there's a few examples from his Mutant's series in my pics folder.
If you are in TO, you have to come and see the show. First because it's gonna be cool, and second because Ric's Parts Gallery is a briliant place with great outsider art. Plus Ric and his wife just had a baby so they need lots of people to buy things.
nite all.
