In the last year I am constantly reminded of a line in Memoirs of a Geisha.....Sayuri is pining away over her destiny and Mameha says, "Young girls hope all sorts of foolish things, Sayuri. Hopes are like hair ornaments. Girls want to wear too many of them. When they become old women they look silly wearing even one."
I know I'm far from being an old woman, but considering how life tends to be, I feel like I may as well be in relation to that statement.
On that happy note, I can't help but wonder today why when I constantly want to find people who are like me in some way, it's always good and bad when I do. It's great to have understanding, but it also just reminds me how alone I am.
Today I'm alone. Like every other day. That's life.

you have a lot of tattoos
Lately I have been dealing with this sinking feeling that I always have been alone and always will be alone. I don't fear it, it's just so damn sad. Sad to know that you only really have yourself. Everyone else may be there at times, but they'll vanish eventually. & so will I, I guess.
I've decided that it is foolish and delusional to desire another individual to share your life with. I hate love.
