MY SAD GLAM ROCK STORY
(WITH A HAPPY ENDING)
Luckily when I was little my mom exposed me to Joan Jett in the 3rd grade and bought me I Love Rock and Roll on vinyl. What she didn't tell me is that she copied Gary Glitter and that there was a whole world of such fine stomping music out there. Neither did my dad, who exposed me to everything, so I thought. Luckily for me a friend of mine popped in a Glam Rock video a couple of months ago and I finally figured it all out. Imagine my luck that in my entire life NO ONE I knew was into Glam Rock. (except my friend Frances from the UK, but I never knew what in the hell she was talking about, and she never played me any since she doesn't live here)
I thank god every day for my friend who has since burned me Gary Glitter and The Sweet cds, and is sure to open my eyes to many other fine things out there to buy.
Rock on.
