Howdy!
Guess what!? I should be doing something productive, but I am not! Woo! Story of my life!
In other news . . . spring quarter started last week! This is my LAST quarter at UCSC (as an undergrad anyway)!!! I will be graduating after this and they're actually going to give me a degree! It just seems so strange!
I feel so content with where my life is right now and I know that it is really temporary. After graduation I have to join the real world (at least for a year) and get a job. I need to find a job and when I do that I need to find an apartment in that city and move my ass over there. But where!?
Bleh, I shall worry about that business later!
So . . . I am really out of shape! It turns out that sitting around my apartment and lab (even though I take the 4 flights of stairs) is not actually the same thing as working out! Weird, I know! haha I just started kick boxing with one of the other RAs (research assistant) and my abs are SO sore! It hurts to laugh! I also brought my bike to SC so I could take up riding again (it's so gorgeous here!). It turns out I am pretty much WAY out of shape for bike riding as well! I think it's funny and sad how out of shape I've managed to get these days! I am going to work on it though! I've also decided to eat healthier food. I am doing pretty well so far! Good for me!
School is starting up really quickly this quarter! Usually you get some time to get used to things, but not this time! I am SUPER excited (an scared) of my evolutionary psych class! The prof is awesome! I had him for neuroscience and that was by far one of the best classes I've taken at UCSC.
Lab is starting up pretty quickly as well. I suppose that is good. I like the lab even if it taking over my life. We got a few new RAs to train this quarter. Alex (the grad student I work for) told the newbies to think of us (the old RAs) as senior research assistants and first year grad students! haha I am fancy now!
One of the other grad students that works in the same lab is trying to organize some kind of RA picnic so all the RAs get to know each other. I think it sounds like fun. I hope he gets it going.
OH! I've seen SO many old friends lately! It's awesome! I am so sad that I've let it go this long with out seeing them. I love my friends! They're pretty great! I miss the old days (sometimes) when we all lived in the same town. Life just gets so much more complicated when ya get older.

What else . . .? My internet is going appallingly slowly today! I need to go to some research, but the thought of waiting so long for pages to load is not really motivating me. Dang.
Some random bunny-KT pix for the road.
