I am a little bummed out right now. I have a midterm tomorrow in my Psych and Religion class. I have not really done much studying for it thus far. Obviously, I am not currently studying. This class is the only lower division class I am taking. I guess I usually sort of blow off lower div stuff. I am unhappy that the prof just lectures about random shit that is not on the midterm (according to the study guide). All of the work is in the readings (of which I've done none). This leads me to wonder why do I bother to attend class?
In addition, I am a little sad that I have not paid more attention to this class all along. I usually blow off lower divs because by the time you've reached your forth year in psych you've pretty much covered most of the lower div stuff several times over. Even upper divs are a rehashing of the same stuff. Well, not always. Childhood psychopathology is proving worthwhile. I also found neuroscience quite useful, new and interesting (though more of a bio class).
Anyway, midterms suck. Bottom line.
I am listening to "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News because it is stuck in my head. I visited my friend today and he'd made a "christmas mix" of the song. It consisted of him randomly saying "Christmas" in a whipery-creepy voice at random points in the song. Huey Lewis and the News reminds me of American Psycho and that makes me a little bit happy inside. I HAVE TO RETURN SOME VIDEO TAPES!
Speaking of video tapes, my housemates and i discoverd a little video store here in SC that has almost all VHS. That is very uncommon these days! I prefer DVDs, but we do have a VCR and VHS are much cheaper to rent (just a dollar!). Anyway, this video store has soooooooo many movies! All of the old thing I remember from my childhood. It also has a very large foreign section which I find AWESOME. I rented Hedwig cuz I have yet to see it. Ems rented Toys (i like that movie).
OH!!! Today I saw a baby on an ultrasound!!! One of my friends is pregs and let me go along for her appointment! It was really cool! I saw the heart beat and got to hear it too!
Oh, in other good news, Rocky Horror Picture Show is this weekend! I am very excited! My corsets will get some good use! I am dressing myself, Lauren, Val and Danny! I am shivering with antici . . .
PATION!
I guess I am going to go to bed pretty soon here. I'll studying in the morning.
October is ending soon! November 3rd will mark the 5 year and a half mark for Jean-Marc and me. We've been together for awhile now. I guess we've been engaged for nearly 2 years now. Haha I miss his skankyself. I am so happy to say that there will only be one more teary-eyed good bye in an airport for us! When I leave Germany that will be the last time I even say good bye to him again! When he comes home after that he's mine forever! Yay!
Oh! I found a university in Finland that has a graduate school program I am interested in! How awesome would studying in Finland be!?
Bed time.
It's just a jump to the left . . .
