Back to school!
I only had one class today! Yay! It was my Sex and Gender class. I really enjoy that class! I must say it honestly makes me think! haha Imagine that! A college course that actually involves thinking hehe
We had a guest lecture today from a grad student who is doing some research on men being feminists. He aslo had us watch half of a film called "Tough Guise." It was about men and masculinity in American culture today. I want to see the other half of the movie before I say too much about it. I am very glad I am taking this class!
Oh! On my way back from class I took a path through the forest (UCSC has a labyrinth of paths through the forest). I love taking that path because it is so pretty this time of year! Everything is green AND it is shady which is a big plus if you are kinda white (and I am) and don't much enjoy sunburn. As I am walking along enjoying the day some jerkoff on a bike come flying down the path at full speed and nearly knocked me down the hill!! I hate people that ride bikes here! Now, don't get me wrong, I am all for biking when the conditions allow! I think it's a great way to get around and if this campus were not so full of hills I'd do it myself. HOWEVER, it is full of hills!! Any of you that have even been on the UCSC campus know that there is probably not a flat area anywhere to be found! Not even our track is flat for fucks sake! This makes biking dangerous. Not to mention we have lots of blind corners due to the fact that we are in a damn forest. These bike riders never obey traffic laws! The other day some poor guy got hit by a bike while crossing the street. The force of the blow from the bike knocked him into an oncoming bus!! I wish I carried around sticks to jam in people's spokes . . .
In other happier news today was a "college night" in the Crown dining hall. On these lovely nights the dinner has a theme and there is food and decorations to fit with it. Tonight our theme was "National Geographic." It pretty much meant that the food was supposed to be from different parts of the world. The cool thing about college nights is that the food isn't shitty like normal. Tonight is was especially good! I really enjoyed the Japanese food! However, the "France" section was the best!! There was cheese, cheesecake, strawberries and chocolate! Mmmmm! How French any of that was I have no idea, but it was yummy!
There were all sorts of little things on the tables as decoration. There was all sorts of candy and stickers. I found some of those body jewel things and stuck them all over myself. My friend Marc had a crown, stickers, and body jewels. He looked the best, but I didn't get a pic.
I also picked up some chocolate euros from the table.

It was a good college night! I think I ate too much though.
I am supposed to go running anytime now . . .I am waiting for my friends to get outa their club thingy so we can all go together.
