Well, I've had a weird few days . . .
Last thursday Laren, Marc and I had a pasta party-type-thing. Actually, we just got some pasta to cook outselves rather than eating in the dining hall. I hate the dining hall! I cannot wait to move to my own house next year and cook for myself!
haha Lauren and I also got some sangria . . .
I tried to take pictures of the forest that day because everything is so green right now, but they did not come out very well. How sad.
The next night we drank the rest of out jug o' sangria and went to the dining hall (ew) with Val and her friend.
OH! The men's restroom was closed for this reason:
Anyway, not too much else happened that weekend until sunday morning. I got a phone call from my fiance informing me that he'd be leaving for Iraq later that night. He was already in Kuwait so I couldn't kiss him goodbye or shoot him in the foot so the army wouldn't take him.
I felt kind of sick for the rest of the day after hearing that. I had to go with my friends to look at a house that we might possibly rent. It is a nice house and I think it'd work well for us. I hope we get it! (Oh and it rained all day, yay!)
I spent that night talking to Jean-Marc before he left for Iraq. I stayed up most of the night talking ot him or worrying about him. I hate that sort of sick worried feeling. I wish he could just come home. I am sick of getting used to things. I got used to boot camp, then him being in Germany, then him being in Kuwait, and now I don't really think I will get used to Iraq. That just scares me too much.
The army makes me sad.
Monday I registered for my fall classes. I am taking two upper division psych classes and one lower div psych. I have Women's Lives (social psych), Child Psychopathology, and Psych and Religion. I won't have classes on friday! That will make it easier to work. I am also thinking of taking either Tae Kwon Do or Fensing. I am not sure which.
Today JM called and said everything is going ok so far. Yay! I miss him!
Today I also got tickets for
Matt is going to go with me! Hopefully a few other people will come along too.
Well, I think I am going to go read. I have so many books on my "to read" list!! I can't wait for summer (ick I hate the sunny weather!) so I can get some reading done. Oh and I want to go swimming this summer. yay!
