WOOT!!!! I now have a dual o/s computer! Yay me. Technology has bowed before my l33t h4xx0r sk1llz. Ok, maybe not, but after a nice long chat with cute shopper boy yesterday, i decided to bite the bullet and install Fedora Core 2 on my harddrive, in addition to XP (now with more suck should be windows' slogan). And..., it was rather anticlimactic, i must say. Everything went smoothly, no lock-ups, no glitches, no molten harddrive, no total reformatting to start from scratch, nothing. Just a stable o/s on the ass half of my drive, and bill gates' latest opus to crapitude on the front. If i can figure out how to get my wireless card accepted by linux, i'll be in like flint. Oh well, if i can't figure it out, which is probable considering that i've misplaced my driver cd again, cute shopper boy said he'd help me configure the darn thing. Yay!!! I need a happy dance smiley right now. This = teh win. Now all i need is a mac mini, and i will be queen of the dorks.
In other lovely news, my friend Ben came over last night. We spent several hours futzing about on the internet, watched the Butterfly Effect (it was tres cute how upset he got over the doggy scenes), and passed out after drinking really strong beer. I adore having a male friend that i can sleep in the same bed with and not feel wierded out. Its funny, the last time he crashed here, he kept waking me up when he'd spoon around me, realize it, and quickly roll away. Not so this time. I think we've sorted out the comfort zone issue, which is good, because he is nice and snuggly.
Random decision time! I have decided that i can go no longer without wearing a skirt (this is not a regular thing for me)! So i'm actually going to wear one to work tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be rainy and yucky outside when i walk to work, but even if it is, i'm still skirtin it up, because i'm having these wierd girly urges that tell me to. Maybe it will keep me in a good mood tomorrow. I'll need all the help i can get, since my least favorite person at work is the Manager/PIC for the evening. yay. Oh well, at least Slie will be there, and with any luck i can convince cute shopper boy to fiddle with my computer. Failing all else, i will have a great excuse to drink heavily and bake my brain away after work.

if it's a belkin card, i would give up all hope. if it is a belkin and he can get it working, send him over here. i hate windows, but it's the only way for my computer to be on the internet
