So I'm in philly for a little bit - and before I know it I'm being dragged into two weekends of family reunions. So this weekend - Buffalo NY where the mom's side is from, where I haven't been in YEARS. Next Weekend, is way out on the coast of Maine, past Blue Hill. That, I'm excited for. My dad's side is a bunch of dorks, my cousin just got back from Iraq and it's a coming home celebration for him and his wife and baby. Which will be awesome.
And Maine is so beautiful this time of the year, I love it so much. When I'm rich and famous, I'm going to have a house up there, right on the coast. Last time I was there, we could go out to the seabead at low tide, pick mussels to eat and catch crabs. with a rake actually. Long story. Point is - that one will be fun as long as we don't have to do the 12 hour drive each way. but we'll see. Anything can happen - especially being with my parents for extended periods of time. Wish me luck.
In other news, I hung out with an old friend from highschool last night, haven't seen him in five years. What a weird night, I forgot, how with true and good friends, you can just pick up where you left off, and things are the same. Which is nice and comforting. But we just kept looking at each other and laughing cause neither one of us could believe it had been five years. He filled me in on where everyone is around here (I didn't keep in touch with really anyone from High School) and who's around or not. So strange. But nice. Very surreal to say the least. but it was just like old times. Like the last five years never happened. Strange, strange, strange night.
