I love horror movies though I get scared to death!!! I always scream so loud that people who watch horrors woth me are more scared of my shrieks than on the movie itself hahaha.
I am posting them not on judging by the level of their scariness, just my personal top-list., how I feel about them.
13. Saw - I have seen several parts but only remember the first one. Very cool idea, fresh and unique.
12. The Thing (1982). I normally prefer new movies (or remakes) to old ones. The visual part just means too much to me. But this was one of the first horrors I ever saw and I have very nostalgic love to it.
11. The Omen (1976) one more nostalgic love case, and for me the original movie is the scariest of all! That kid! His eyes!
10. Friday 13th series... I just love Jason, that's it.
9. The Grudge. I almost died of fear when watching 1st movie and I cannot watch the second cuz noone wants to watch it with me (they don't want to get scared of my shrieks) and I cannot watch it alone. Tried once, got hysterically scared in 10 minutes, switched it off. Japanese horrors are the scariest. I also played "The Grudge" game for Nintendo Wii, scary af.
8. Paranormal activity. Saw about 4 parts, 1 and 2 are my faves.
7. The Collector - I don't have reasonable words to explain, I just love this movie.
6. A Nightmare on Elm Street - Freddy is another childhood friend! Love the old good movies and the remake too!
5. Kolobos - there is kids' singing as a soundtrack to murders there and I loved the whole idea. Unexpected ending.
4. Insidious - so fucking scary omg!!! Terribly lacking time to watch the whole series.
3. Sinister - kids are the scariest monsters. My favourite horrors are those where kids participate - either as victims or - which I even more like - as murderers. Yassss so good.
2. Halloween 2009. What I just told about kids?
1. It (new movie), both parts. It is based on one of my favourite novels by my favourite writers and Pennywise is one of my top villains. I really loved what they did of the remake. Very scary and very cool!
