Whenever I have to study for some big exam, the weather is always nice like this. In July, when I was taking the bar exam and suffering the full effects from my collapsed nasal passage, deviated septum, and polyps & clotting in my sinuses, and I was studying 12 hour days, the weather was exquisite. Almost too hot, as the week of the exam it got up into the mid-90s. Sometimes I prefer the dreary... seems to fit my character better.
The last 9 or so months have been a haze of disappointment and despair. Deaths, studying 12 hour days, failure, sickness, surgery, fiance leaving, so on and so forth. 2007 has been especially bad. BUT... I think I need to maybe just take a positive look at things and try and keep going. With the bad comes the good, right? Once this exam is done (March 1), I have a creative outlet in The If/Then Statement. They are a little more indie than I would like. Nothing against indie music, some of my favorite bands/friends are indie artists... but we're lookin to kick it up a notch, be a little bit more like some local heroes
So, while I conjure up a list of things to look forward to, you people do the same... and fill me in!
It has been really nice in Seattle recently. Cold, but the sunny all the same.
i work pretty much right there and have a view of the water from my desk. these lovely clear days have been nice from that vantage point.
