Summary of Tuesday thru Friday night:
Tuesday - Work at 8 am. You know, the usual. Mike (my boss) pulls 4 or 5 of us in his office and tells us we're going to Austin to be interviewed on a few of their local rock stations. ALRIGHT! Thanks for the notice there bucko! Guess I better pack a bag, eh?
Wednesday - Work again. Even earlier this time. I'm there bright and early...6 fucking am. I see the 106 Party Bus parked outside of the building so I'm figuring.."Ok, so other people are going too?" Noo, we get the pleasure of riding all the way to Austin on that thing. Now, you may be wondering why I wouldn't want to ride on it. It's basically a tour bus for people that win tickets to Ozzfest, Dog Jam, etc. to get a free ride on. Courtesy of us, of course. Anyhow, it smells like sweaty ass. I wanted to hang my head out a window and die. I think my boss likes to torture us. Free hotel room though! Word.
Thursday - Hello I'm in Austin now. I love my job?! I wasn't too excited about it at first, but my attitude completely changed after being introduced to a few people. So we do our interviews..blah blah blah..etc etc..that was all fun and fantastic, but it was work....skip to about 11:30pm..bar hopping time! I found myself my own little personal tour guide, so she showed me around all the best bars and clubs. I'm not big on the club scene though. What horrible music...but thank you Krystin!
Friday - Got back to my hotel room at about 5:45am. Luckily none of us had to be up and out until 10..so we had atleast a few hours of sleep. Skip to 10am....more guest appearances on 2 different stations..skip to about 4:30pm..and that LONG, smelly ride back home. Oh, yeah, I was jumping for joy. HURRAY! It was definitely fun though. Met lots of cool kids, drank lots of free booze, and got paid to be there. HAA! The end.
