ok, I just uploaded a review to amazon about "Howl's moving castle"...but seeing as how I know how much Kiyone loves my reviews I thought I would include it here... enjoy.

"Howl's Moving Castle" film.

Before I start this review let me just state that I love Miyazaki films, and in this case I did what many people swear up and down you shouldnt do,...

I was flipping through your art pics, I really like the Eidolon series and the Portal ones. Very nice!

You should also come and hang out with us while we're in your neck of the woods!

I just got my wife hooked on Miyazaki, and she loves it.
Have you ever noticed that there is a seeming connection between many Miyazaki storylines and russian folklore?
No, I have not done any research.

I'm slightly annoyed.

I have an opening this saturday and it doesn't look like I'll be able to attend. In all truth, I don't really want to go, it's a group show and I only have two pieces in it, but it's in Detroit and I don't feel like driving all the way down there for an hour or so just for that...but the fact...

Grrr...finally, I got my computer reset so that I can update and do all of the fun things here that I like... for example...looking at the sets!!! Grrr, the whole time it was taunting me, I could see the sets coming up but I couldn't access them... what a pain.

I will have to update more later, I swamped for time... but I promise to...

well, no one brought me Milla... that's disappointing.. it was the only thing I wanted, i swear. wink

I had a really bizarre dream last night... so bizarre it has stuck with me all day. I dreamt that I had developed these cysts in my wrists on each hand that had to be removed and drained, because they were leaking nasty things into my bloodstream... and...

I most certainly did get the print, I'm in LOVE with it!! It's the perfect thing for the space, I couldn't imagine anything else there. That was quite a dream, I must say... very spooky!
anarchie:
That is a crazy dream. I experienced my first dead arm a few weeks ago. I woke up with it and I really thought my arm had completely lost all function forever. Scary fucking 5 minutes, I tell you!

cleverthings:
Hell yeah - I second that wish!!

Milla... love kiss love

Happy Valentine's day to you for yesterday! smile Hope you had a great day...

I went to Dreamworld (a themepark here in Australia) and spent a funfilled day on rides, water and scare-rides, particularly an awesome one where you plummet for 5 secs after being held in a very very high position for 30 seconds. Trippy shit.

I'm reading Robert Jordan's 11th book in his epic ridiculous Wheel of Time and am actually impressed. No. 10 was crap but 11 actually has got me hooked... he's a crazy writer. You know there'd be a line of fans willing to take a bullet for Jordan just so he'd finish the goddamn Wheel of Time?!

Oh God, back to Milla.

*swoon*

Does anyone know where I can download songs from the Velvet Goldmine Soundtrack? I'm looking for some that aren't on the soundtrack. There's "Sebastian", sung by Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Venus in Furs), "My Unlcean" sung by Ewan McGregor, and "Gimme Danger" also sung by Ewan McGregor. I really wanted these also when I bought it, but they are not included and I can't seem to...

How's it going sweet lady?
cleverthings:
Books - books for young adults!! Seriously, check out some Australian fantasy authors because they're fantastic for that age group. I was a voracious reader through high school (and still am...) and was constantly disappointed with American and UK authors because they were exactly as you describe: preparing the reader for romance bullshit.

But - Isobelle Carmody, Victor Kelleher, Gary Crew, Gillian Rubenstein.

The following are old books that I still adore:

1. Isobelle Carmody - The Gathering
2. Isobelle Carmody - Green Monkey Dreams
3. Victor Kelleher - Taronga
4. Gillian Rubenstein - Beyond the Labyrinth

Those books fucked delightfully with my head as a teenager and made me really think and feel so much more than other books did.

Anyway, you've probably read them, but any opportunity I get to espouse good Aussie writing and good young adult fiction, I just have to take it!!

Sorry to hear about your family and I hope you can fight through it...

Thanks everyone for the kind words and all that. I think I shut down for the last ten days. But I'll give a proper update now that my head is somewhat more together.

My father has been in and out of different hospitals for two weeks now. At present he is in a rehab clinic going through detox. This is good and bad, my mom...

oh sweetie, I am so sorry about what is going on in your life right now. If you ever, EVER need someone to vent to or just to talk to, for any reason, do not hesitate to let me know and I will be here for you.
danaide:
It sounds to me that with everything that is going on you are being really hard on you self. Sex takes two and yes you feel you made a bad choice, but at the time you wanted comfort and love from some one close to you. Friends are there when you need them.
I am really sorry for everything you are going through and hope everything works out. ( *shy hug *)
Is it possible to use it in a creative inspiration? I always find myself wallowing instead of creating.

So, I have a bizarre situation I just realized...heh, when don't I have a bizarre situation...beside the point... I really do think I am falling in love with someone.... someone close to me... someone who I cannot have... and that's the worst part of it.

Ok, I work with this girl... she's beautiful, and such a honest, sweet, astounding woman, and I can't have her......

not sure what to say to make you stop... i think if you do anything you have to be damn sure that she knows what she's doing first. you don't want to be the one who everyone's mad at when things go awry.

...but i'm interested in some of your artwork for sale. specifically "Eidolon 5". do you have prints that you are selling or the original? and how much? honestly i have no idea how much to offer for something like that, but i'm very taken by the piece.

wow, thanks guys for expressing concern. I should really not update and say negative things. It's true, I'm in a funk, and things have been weird lately, but I am trying to get myself together.

One thing is that in a few months I have to find a new place to live, and I am trying to decide if I want to go back to...
