Went to see Farenheit 9/11 last night. While I am not a big fan of Michael Moore, I must say that despite the movie's shortcomings, it is devastatingly effective at bringing us face to face with our elected officials. And that, in and of itself, is enough of a scare. It is extremely telling to me that the criticism aimed at the movie has been at it's creator, and not the content. It is difficult, if not impossible to argue against facts, so the Repubs resort to ad hominem.
While I think this is a movie Americans need to see, I also wonder if we will
now see an era of Triumph of the Will type propaganda pieces from the right. Wouldn't surprise me.....
Hope you all had a good weekend.

The Green Door pic was actually taken in Asheville NC, a city that I miss very much. But Richmond is very photogenic. I live in the fan right now, and can't wait to move out of it!!! The old buildings that VCU owns are beautiful, but the students are a bit irritating. We're looking to move to the Shockhoe Slip area. It's pretty there too.
and for some reason, I was able to get into the Observer site without registering. Sorry, regardless.
