Saturday night I drank some and took Adderall. I didn't sleep at all. I got home Sunday afternoon. Then at 4:45 I get a phone call from Tanya: "Hey - Lacey called in. Can you work tonight?" So I ended up working 5-9 having been awake for the past 30 hours (which is a long time for me).
Then, at 3:50 on Monday I get a call from Diane (at Noah's Ark, the pet store I quit in September): "Hey - Stephanie [girl who replaced me] got fired today for stealing money from her grandma. Can you work tonight?" So I end up working 4-9 at Noah's.
I just got an e-mail from Diane:
"Hey Kiddo, How's things? I just thought I'd give you a heads up, in case no one has said anything to you yet, but you've got to promise me not to tell ANYONE that I said anything to you, o.k.??? Mary fired Stephanie today. Big shock
I know. To make a long story short, Mary is going to ask you to come back to work on Monday nights. You'd be working with Sue, as usual. I just kinda wnated to tell you so that you can think about it before she just drops a bomb on you. I don't know if you're at all interested (personally, I think it would be Great!!). What I would REALLY like to do is have Mary put me on Monday with you, and not have me work with Sue at all (there's a LONG story there...), but I don't know how/if she'll go for it. You should probably just go back to Noah's for the Monday nights thing. You only have one class right now and you haven't gotten a better job yet and the pay sucks but it'll still be more money.
