So I get this fucking thing from MATC which is basically just this questionarre to see if I should be in the vet tech program. It's got the prerequesits listed, and it says:
Chemistry: The following chemistry courses are not accepted - ChemCom or Cemistry in the Community
Guess what I'm fucking in? Yeah, ChemCom.
No one fucking anywhere down the line has told me that ChemCom was not okay. All the descriptions of Chemistry have just said that you needed to be in a Chemistry class that did labs (which my class does). No fucking mention of ChemCom not being okay. And what were MATC's concerns about my Chemistry class at the beginning of the year?? That it had labs, and my fucking chemistry teacher even called MATC and talked to them and they determined that everything was okay. I don't know how many times I've talked to Dr. Sheldon who's head of the vet tech progam, but no, I don't find out until today that my chemistry class isn't accepted.
So I just fucking spent almost an entire year in a class I hated and that won't do me any fucking good at all. And there's no way I'm getting into the vet tech program.

wren:
ARGH. MATC is frustrating, for sure. I spent three years there and was pleased with the education I got, even though it was infuriating as hell sometimest to be a student. You have to have a chemistry course BEFORE starting the vet tech program? I would think they'd let you take something concurrently. That's shitty.
kryogenickiki:
I can't take chemistry and the vet tech courses at the same time (I've gotta have chem before I take vet tech) so it'd set me back at least a semester and make me pay for another class and books.
