After much deliberation I have come to the conclusion that the way to real success in your life is to decide how you DON'T want to be treated by others, then stop others from treating you that way.

See, that's why I wanna leave my job and this town; I can't get people to treat me correctly here, which is tolerable/expectable up to a point.
