Hey---
First off thanks for all the concern and sympathy with the loss of my cat. Like I said earlier, I know it sounds really strange but he was the first pet I ever had that died.
I know I will find another cat, I know by working with Animal Recue of Tidewater that just in this area alone there are thousand of abandoned pets that new great homes. I just think I want to mourn for a bit longer.
Now---how has everyones week-end been ? Mine has been good, not really all that exciting though. Friday night I cooked dinner and stayed in and watched the first four episodes of 24 - Season 2. Saturday I went for a long run (10 miles) , bought a new pair of running shoes. worked on a project for school the rest of the afternoon. Then I went down to the beach and had sushi. Now I'm getting ready to go to "First-Look Movie Forum"
Ok, I've had a really boring week-end, but don't we all need ones every now and then? Next Week-end will be crazy, I'm gonig to see Springsteen Friday night, then the Dropkick Murphys in D.C. on Sunday. Anybody want ot join me? seriously.
I'm so happy that the holidays are almost here. I know that it is all really just a HUGE exercise in consumerism and everything that is wrong with america, but if you can try not to be so cynacle and try to find what is really great about the 5 weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years Day I just have to smile. It is the one time a year when I truly want to believe in the inherent goodness in man. Then again I am an idealist.
Well I need to get going, movie time.
Just want to leave one shameless plug, if youl ive in virginia and are looking for a new dog or cat try here..

I don't hate "the holidays" (i.e. Christmas and all the other ones competing). I like the old TV shows, and ornaments. I've had less fun as I get older and worry about what to get other adults; in that regard, I think it is more of a holiday time for kids. I think it is best for kids receiving gifts from adults, since kids are poor. This is why buying donation toys is my most satisfying purchase of the season. I've also given money to Toys for Tots, and they've indundated me with letters again!... but I think I'd prefer toy donation to money donation.

I thought "13 Days on the Road" was a Foghat song? I'll have to look that one up.
