Went to the Sound Academy on Saturday for a concert. Had a fan-fucking-tastic time! I went for Buckcherry, but having Papa Roach there wasn't a detriment at all. And the opening band Bleeker Ridge were a pleasant surprise; never heard of them before, but they made lots of new fans that night I think! Have to love them Canadian boys!
My Darkest Days performed as well, and I was very surprised. Disappointed with the clean cut, almost auto-tuned quality of their album when I purchased it, their live performance was awesome and kick-ass, completely catching me off guard. They are so much better live.
I don't even know how to describe Buckcherry. They never, ever disappoint. Just like I'll never stop wanting to lick the sweat off Josh Todd's tattoos...They didn't play Too Drunk, but I was completely satisfied with most of my favourites, like Next to You and Lit Up.
Papa Roach closed off the amazing night with an even more incredible performance. It sucked that security was so tight, stopping any real moshing before it started, but Jacoby Shaddix and his gang didn't let that stop their insanity. Performing old favourites and things from their new album, the crowd went absolutely crazy for them.
With my ears still ringing, I'm getting pumped just as the weather starts warming up too. Hardcore concert time is coming, and I couldn't have started it off better with the Toronto stop of the Jaegermeister Music Tour. I cannot wait for more!

Thanks! So am I! Being barely 5ft tall makes venturing into the pit a little intimidating, but it was totally worth it to see these bands play.
