Well, I suppose it's about time isn't it?
I always leave these so long that by the time it comes to write about the time in between blogs I've either forgotten what needs to be said or I just can't be bothered to say anything.
I guess the main news is that, thanks to TheDuke I now have a writing gig of sorts!
I get to write my little heart out about the music I love and get into gigs I'm dying to see!
The other night I went to see Battles play and it was quite frankly stunning.
John Stainer, their drummer (ex-Helmet fella) is a living legend.
For his astounding sweating ability alone!
I'm off to the shops with my folks in a minute to pick up a swanky new camera for the taking of pictures at these events.
I took 111 shots at the Battles show and a grand total of 15 came out alright. Even then I had to photoshop them into respectability.
Bless my parents and their early christmas present buying ways.
Anyhows, I am now feeling a little better about my soul-destroying job now that I have an outlet for the thing I love doing most; being geeky about music.
Also Claire0801 and I traipsed along to the London tattoo con last weekend. It was great to see fellow SGUKers again, but as she was immensely tired and I was in stomach bug hell we my have come across as a little...distant...
I think I may have been in a fever when I tried to convince everyone that in Poland kiwi fruit are as precious as gold and people hijack trains to teef them.
Sorry kids.
This weekend I'm off to Romsey (which, despite my jibes to the contrary, I actually like) to see Claire. I can't wait. I'm planning on drinking and eating my own head weight (it's heavier than my body, believe me) in wine and pizza!
Also I'm secretly hoping there'll be more cake...
