I have been nonexistant for a while, but I return yeehaw. School has started back up and it's now almost finals week (I just turned in a paper this morning, suck). I'm taking 4 classes for 18 units which is more than my slacker ass has done before, so it's been tough.
I'm taking:
Colonial and Revolutionary America (History)
Eastern European Women & War in the 20th Century (History)
Greek Mythology
Drawing I
All pretty fun classes although the non-history ones are probably the most entertaining, but of course I gotta finish up my major so I can graduate.
Quit my Games Workshop job after school started, but in general it went well and I might work there again after I graduate if I can't figure out something better to do (that pays more than jack).
Had a hard time about a month ago when my girlfriend Courtlyn (of close to 2 years) told me she wanted to see other people. I tried to talk her out of it because we love each other a lot so she still hasn't come to a "final decision." So I may be back on the market if things don't go in my favor.
I spent Thanksgiving break (we had a week off of school) in Chicago with several buddies which was very awesome. We went to a play, The Talisman Ring, the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Art Institute, Chinatown, the John Hancock building, Medieval Times, Memorial Park, and to some other fun stuff. Ate lots of yummy food and played tons and tons of geeky board games like Descent, Maelstrom, Senator, Kingdoms, and Nexus Ops (if anyone recognizes any of those names, muahahaha). Also played in a short RPG set in Ancient Rome.
I have to get a jaw surgery this winter break to have my teeth nicely aligned (I've had braces the past 2 years in preparation, so it's nice to finally be getting near the end). It will probably suck as I'll have lots of swelling and numbness and will be on a liquid diet for 5 weeks, including Christmas. I'll be at home in Olympia, WA so my mommy can take care of me, woot.
Hope you're all doing well! I wish I had more time to devote to this awesome community.
Hearts,
Kris
