The unreal truth of self-employment is sinking in. My quarterly payment for taxes is here and I have no where near enough. I really thought I could be responsible this time, but no one prepares you for the little expenses you'll have to make once you move out, no one prepares you for the missed work due to the death of a family member, and now it sucks because I'm horribly irresponsible. How much do I owe? About three times as much as I actually have saved. See? I suck.
I've also apparently not had an up to date car insurance card for two months. And I feel horrible for asking my parents for a new one (I go through them) because I'm two months behind in that too.
Need a new job--I need health insurance, I need deducted taxes, I need sick and vacation time. I'm just scared I'll get irresponsible with that too and get fired. I've never been fired before. I mean, I've been a seasonal worker and let go, but that's as close as I've gotten.
I wish I could find the motivation to stop being such a putz with money and working.
And yeah, Mike's already told me today to "stop being so emo." I should really listen.
