happy birthday to me, I am 24 years old.
I don't *feel* 24. I still feel very early twenties. Even though I am officially headed towards mid-twenties-dom.
Before I go any further I would like to give much thanks to the lovely Diabolita for her "happy b-day" comment in my previous journal entry. She just submitted a set to SGHQ, so go wish her luck that she gets accepted. She's very hot and I can't wait to see her set .
Now, what did i get for my birthday? I got a new comp from my parents as a b-day/graduation present. A pimpin' ass Mac G5!!!!! All I gotta say about that is......papa's got a brand new bag!!!
Today I went out to the record store to pick up the new Atmosphere album "Seven's Travels". I also picked up "American IV: When The Man Comes Around" by Johnny Cash, "Pass The Flask" by The Bled and "Thirteenth Step" by A Perfect Circle. So far everything sounds amazing.
In other news I got a new job finally. Stockroom at Filenes. It's not much, but I have bills to pay, and recording gear to buy.
When I went to the Newbury Comics, they had a "now hiring" sign up. They need all shifts. I WOULD love to work at a record store, but it's all the way in Braintree whereas the job I just got is in Brockton which is a lot closer. I'd get to work more days and get to work at my favorite record store, but it's a bit of a trek and record stores don't pay much. The job at Filenes is much closer but it's gonna be all night shifts, so there goes my nightlife.
I dunno......
I guess I'll call them up and ask how much they pay and compare/contrast. Stupid me, I forgot to ask when I got there! I did grab an application though.
So what should Kris do, slave by night closer to home and have even less of a social life or bust his balls to have a cooler job at what might be less pay located much further from home?
my head hurts

So, my thoughts on the job.....
you want to work somewhere where you are happy. But, you have to consider if you can afford that or not. Damn...that is a tough one.
