Ahh, Friday. What to do this weekend. Tonight looks like a party at my house night. Not much going on in town. Saturday, If I can make it to Tulsa, I might go to the 80's prom thing and do some general slutting around Tulsa. Other wise there is a benefit for a skate park in Mustang with a bunch of bands I have never heard of (Mustang Community Center, 1201 N. Mustang Rd. $5. 5:30-10pm). then for Saturday night, 40 Minutes of Hell are playing at The Deli. Should be a happening show. These guys rock real hard. Might not be able to make the skatepark thing due to some conflicts, but I am going to try. Sunday is my 3 yr old neice's birthday, so I'm booked for that day.
On another note, I saw Star Wars III last night. Good flick. I highly recommend. I love it when the good guys lose. After all these years, the story is finally told in it's entirety. I remember when I went to see the first Star Wars at North Park Mall in 77. I was 5 years old. Now I'm 32 and I have seen the last one. To be quite honest, it's good to have it finished. 20+ years of waiting gets to wear on you. Personally, I think the LOTR is a better series, and was released in it's entirety between episode II and III. Much better story line. There are not very many critics out there that would say the story line and characters in Star Wars are more than predictable and flat. LOTR was a much better written work, and will probably go down as a classic trilogy while Star Wars will remain nothing more than a cult classic. Nuff said. See you all this weekend.
If anyone is going to be in OKC sometime, and wants to hook up for a drink or just exchange some ideas about the potential of SGOK, send me an e-mail on the cntact page. I'm not very good at checking it on weekends, but I check my mail everyday during the week. See you all around!
