I had the unfortunate experience of being one of those party "hangers-on" on Saturday night. 3:30 am. The people who live at the house are nervously walking in and saying "thanks for coming!" Forced smile. "Thanks for having us - don't worry, our cab is coming soon!" Kind of felt like that Seinfeld episode, you know? And it wasn't even our fault. The idiot-acquaintences Matt and I ended up talking to for most of the evening are drunkedy-drunk-drunk-drunk-drunk and we are stone-cold sober. "Sure, we'll share a cab with you - great idea! No, we're not quite ready to go yet. Give us 15 minutes." 45 minutes later and it is obvious this bafoon has not called a cab like he said he did. I don't think these guys could have made it home in a cab if they tried. (Come on guys - tell the driver where you live - I don't know where your house is!) They'd probably still be wandering around the Highlands area at this very moment. That's the last time I EVER depend on anyone else again. I guess us earth-signs are take-care-of-shit sort of people and don't feel comfortable letting others take the reigns. I am definitely getting a car this week.
