Why is everyone at work obsessed with stealing my phone and taking candid pictures of its owner?

I sometimes wonder if the prospect of real happiness in a relationship scares me. Tom and I got divorced just when it seemed everything was going to be all right - school was over - he was actually getting a job. Then I decided he wasn't for me....

Hello there. You should check out this thread.

I realize I need to get out more. I'm gonna work on that soon.

New happy pic - new happy news: I made a deal with the soon-to-be-ex and I'm getting my kitty back! His name is Zut (pronounced Zoot) and I have missed him so much these past four months. I'll have to think of new things that make me sad. And maybe I'll...

Capote was pretty good. Good acting and good cinematography but I felt the story and the editing were a bit off.

It felt like I was exploring this ancient attic that was full of amazing furniture and wonderful art but it was completely dark and someone else had the only flashlight. The problem was that they were solely interested in looking for bugs and dirt under the floorboards. All I was allowed to see was the cracks in the floor and the dim inviting shapes of what might live outside our small and obsessive circle of illumination.

All in all, though, I'm glad I saw it for the incredible acting.

I've never been to club 404. Is it a tittie bar?

my dreams are always perplexing - if not disturbing

there was a big old theatre on Chicago's Northside called the Vic that had this thing called Brew n' View ... they showed three (generally cult classic) films for one price, and they served beer

it was one of my favorite things to do in Chi-town.

I propose a toast to Zut - may he live long and prosper!

glad you are doing well - and enjoying yourself

Philip Seymour Hoffman won best actor this evening at the Grammy's - well-deserved ... although like DanielK I have a few reservations about the picture as a whole - it just didn't feel exactly right in something amorphous as tone - in other words, it was not directed to its best effect

but basically a top-notch film

there were alot of top-notch films this year and nobody went to the movie theatre - there was a note of desperation at the Grammy's this year about movie attendance

Happy, happy, happy day!

I bought a car - I am mobile again. I will nevernevernever take a vehicle for granted again. Not after taking the bus for three months. I know it wasn't a long time, but it was enough to make me appreciate what I lost.

Ladies, my advice to you: if you are married, INSIST that your name be on the title...

I'm glad you are both

Nice work. What kind of ride did you get?

I had the unfortunate experience of being one of those party "hangers-on" on Saturday night. 3:30 am. The people who live at the house are nervously walking in and saying "thanks for coming!" Forced smile. "Thanks for having us - don't worry, our cab is coming soon!" Kind of felt like that Seinfeld episode, you know? And it wasn't even our fault. The idiot-acquaintences Matt...

sounds awkward

I'm just like you in this department, and I think it has something to do with the fact that I've got a mood disorder - bad brains

I always dislike putting myself in situations where I am not making the executive decisions, it always seems to turn out badly for me

hope you are having a better valentine's day.

kick idiots to the curb and enjoy yourself! take charge!

does this gentleman have a licence for that attack rabbit - one wonders?

hope you are doing well - in a Denver sort of way.

Life's been a little crazy lately. I finally moved the rest of my furniture and stuff to my new apartment. Instead of living in a relatively empty apartment I am cramped in a sea of boxes. It's going to take awhile to sort through all of my things and get it all put away.

I am not having fun at work. My assistants do not...

the chaotic gods always attend my moves from apartment to apartment

.... and generally I leave things like my books in boxes until I absolutely have to have access to them and then I break down and start to organize - months later

-Oscar Wilde-

I hope you can ride easier in the traces - that you can give to work just enough energy to get the job done and no more

and let the rest take care of itself

work is a great de-humanizer - but I like your humanity

So I went to the coffee thing on Thursday and met some really cool people from SGCO. I got to skip out of work for 3 hours and everything. I was really great meeting all of you and I hope to see you again at events and stuff (but probably not tonight - I'm not feeling very well and the cold and snow turns me...

I've never kept an on-line journal before, so this is all new to me. All of my employees are way into My Space, so I thought I'd do something different. My boyfriend turned me on to SG and now I'm the one who's addicted - go figure. I may very well be the perfect girlfriend. I not only encourage my man to look at naked...

Hey grrl

Divorce sucks, but at least you didn't spend fifty years together and then divorce.

At least you have a special man friend. Is your husband dating again?
