1/1/11.
As cliche as it is, I'm going to make some resolutions. A new year is an ideal time to set goals and evolve from the previous year. So my friends - you get the honor of reading some goals I've decided to set for myself:
As cliche as it is, I'm going to make some resolutions. A new year is an ideal time to set goals and evolve from the previous year. So my friends - you get the honor of reading some goals I've decided to set for myself:
- Read more. It's silly that I'm an English major but I have the hardest time reading. Don't get me wrong, I am literate... but I fall asleep VERY easily after reading only one or two pages. I'm getting through The Picture of Dorian Gray splendidly though.
- Drink less. The reason why 2010 went by so quickly for me is mainly because I was drunk almost every night. I enjoy drinking, but I guess I should take it down a step. After all, it's a depressant.
- Be happy. Yes, being happy is pretty general of a thing, but it includes quite a bit of detail. Somewhere in the mess of eviction, Arizona, and leaving Arizona - I feel I lost a bit of my soul. (Emo, I am.) But it's true. Friday night's mental breakdown proved to me that I'm just not happy, and this year I hope to indulge in what makes my heart swell and pours honey over my thoughts.
Those are the main ones. The rest are no bother.
I begin my new job at the dentist's office on Monday. I'm nervous but definitely excited. Whole new experiences. THEN! The week after next, I'm starting school again. I will be a busy lady, and that will hopefully keep the dreadful, self-pitying thoughts at bay.
Take it easy.
