'met' Harlan myself when the first edition of Dangerous Visions came out back in the day...have given away more copies of it than I can recall. I respect him, even if I'm not sure I'd want to work around him; he is a true genius and did as much to move science fiction (whatever) towards a viable alternative of equal depth and maturity to mainstream literature as anyone has, or perhaps ever will.
