those you suggested are tempting, especially the Club Africa one (are the two reviews a good representation of what it sounds like?). I was thinking of a christmas present for a friend, and he likes stuff like Parliament and Sly and the Family Stone, and I wasn't sure what to get. Funnily enough, I just looked up Sly on last.fm, and one of the recommended similar artists is Shuggie Otis, so that might be a good idea. cheers
