I am in a funk. There is no other way to say it. I have been seeing a lot of movies, spending time listening to shitty sad-sack pop music, leaving my phone on silent and running through all my excuses on why I am not picking up.
I am bored and discontented. I can't think of what I want to do with my time and I am dreading going back to work.
I have stopped reading the blogs I read, I check ESPN Soccernet maybe 15 times a day in the hopes that something interesting will happen. I have given up on the news and the politicians and the idea that maybe someday we will treat each other well.
I saw this heartbreaking art exhibit in Oslo called The Places We Live. It is a multi-media (but mostly photo documentary) about the life of people in slums in Jakarta, Mumbai, Nairobi, and Caracas.
The exhibit can be found hereThe Places We Live.
I don't know if it is the root of this malaise but it certainly contributed.
In other news, I saw Swing Vote for free, thank god, it sucked. It might be the worst movie of the year, probably three years.
Happy news, however is that I finished up my Greenman Tattoo. Here is the pic.
The artist was Danielle Madore at Sanctuary Tattoo in Portland
