My goodness how time flies. I've been super busy lately with no internet so that's why I haven't been on very much. How have all you beautiful people been? Have you missed me?
Anyways, on with the report from Rent 10...
Sunday: The mother and I got up ungodly early to catch our plane to NYC. Well, I never really went to bed, but we left really early. Most of the day was spent in the airport and on planes, so naturally, I was asleep. I don't even remember the takeoff of the first plane. So, after landing, we had an impromptu tour of the city while our driver tried to find our hotel. We stayed at the Hayden Hotel while we wrere there. It was a really nice place too. Kind of old, but really neat. The only wierd thing about it, was that we had to share bathrooms.
After unpacking everything, we headed out into the city to take in all of the sites. Our hotel was on 76th, I think. We walked all the way to Times Square and the general vicinity. My poor feet were aching by the time we got back to the hotel. I'm talking about blisters here people.
Monday: THE DAY. Rent. Original Broadway cast. That day I didn't sleep for very long. I was way too excited to sleep. It rained all morning though. My pants were soaked by the time we stopped for breakfast. Which was some tasty mixed berry scones. So, yummy.
We headed down to Greenwhich Village were we found the most awesome chocolate shop. The lady at the counter had on an Elvan brooch from Lord of the Rings. And I was like, "Hey! I like your brooch. It's from Lord of the Rings."
And she was like, "Hey! Not many people get that."
So, yeah...I showed off my geeky-ness to a complete stranger. But it was okay, 'cause she was, too.
My mom attempted to win the lottery that was being held for tickets for the performance that night. She didn't win, but I did see Bon Jovi...Or maybe it was Kato Kalen...Or however you spell his name. Either would have been most ritgeous.
Around 4 pm we headed back to the hotel so I could
get ready for the big show that evening.
And that my darlings, is were I end the tale tonight. Gotta go watch Advent Children. Again. Oh my god. The shiney.
