Well the garage sale went great. We sold A LOT of stuff and made a nice little chunk of change. We'll have another garage sale this weekend and hopefully an open house.
Our ebay auctions are going well. We've listed some more items. Mostly movies and a few comics. I also have a Polaroid 600 One Step listed. Check out the new listings.
In other news, we hooked up a better monitor to the computer. That means I'm able to actually start working on some of my portfolio pics. The other monitor couldn't be calibrated. It was old and was on the "dark" side. Not like it was part of The Sith more like the brightness and contrast were off. That means I'll be able to edit and play with my "good" pictures now. I'm so excited. I also bought a R72 filter to play with some digital IR photography. I'm going to be running to the mail box everyday until it comes.
We're planning a trip to The Rooftop Resort in Hollywood FL for Labor Day weekend. Then we'll check out Sun Sports Garden on our way back up to Alabama.
Hopefully the house will sell fast. We're asking for a price several 1000's under it's worth. If we still can't find a buyer by late September, then we'll probably drop the price to a couple 1000 over the mortgage. Cross your fingers for us.
One sad thing about the move is the lack of support from friends and family. Most of them think we're crazy, even the people who I thought would understand. They think we're running from something. In essence I guess we are. We're running from capitalism, Corporate America, and ignorant social mores that are based on blind faith in archaic religions and traditions. We just want to be creative and be able to explore, learn, and educate our children on our own terms rather then continuing to work like drones for the fat cats and letting our children become brainwashed like most of society. I hate to sound like a cliche but I can't let other people's impressions of this get me down.
This video is dedicated to the people who think we are crazy.
