blech, i've been working-working-working, and as much as i do love my job, it's a bit too much these days. it's a busy season so i even worked today, that's sunday here in siberia. well, i'll get paid four times more on sundays, provided that i've also worked a full week (40 hours) and 8 hours on satuday. that means i didn't have any free...

as long as you can find refuge in Yoga - a good book - the company of a cat

......... but I worry about you

everything within reason - a balance of work and play is surely best

I think Aristotle had it that all of Virtue lies in the Middle Course - a bit schoolteacherish and dry (like all the rest of his thinking) , but not without merit

what book are you reading - do tell

I am reading The Devils by Fyodr Dostoevsky - his political novel loosely based on a political assassination that took place

i jogged to work this morning, i thought of maybe taking it up again. but then again, i don't think so; too much hassle against what i get from it, that means that i don't like to eat a lighter breakfast, to leave even earlier than i normally do (and that normal is 6.30), to jog with my back-bag on, to take a shower at...

Wouldn't it be nice if people would let you do your own thing without intruding? What you were doing bothered no one else, yet because they can't let you be you, you have to alter your behavior. Not fair!
lumiere:
biggrin sounds quite complicated. I'd like to start jogging but my knee hurts. I can practice all the possible sports in this world but not jogging frown

ok, you have asked, i will try to answer.

red wine, please, but i do like white too. i'm still around. i'm not married. green witchcraft is natural witchcraft, as opposed to stuff like alexandrian witchcraft that's very ritualistic and based on different levels and degrees. google it if you're interested. about finland, well, finland is a relatively large country so what's it like in...

sweet, good to know.

any questions for us?
remuemenage:
wow - what a condensed chunk of information

.....and I had no idea it was coming

I'll be honest - I'm dazzled by the Finns on this site (you especially)

there is a mix of wisdom & beauty & energy that I find intoxicating in the likes of you and Pihka, Miranda and Lumiere - I have just discovered Venla

I can't account for it - it must be that you all share cultural space

knowing you are alive is more than enough

If I asked you to make, or find someone to make me a giant Rabbit costume, what would you say?
charlemagne:
My brother-in-law is from Finland. He's from around Helsinki, and he and my sister got married there. Now they live in Pittsburgh, and he develops software for Apple PC's.

Anyway, do you do that thing where you jump in an ice cold lake naked, and then run up to the sauna boil away your sins? (My sister did it, but she wore a bathing suit. We're prudes over here.)

i saw you there.

i was wondering why you looked familiar.

(we didn't actually talk...because i couldn't figure out why you looked familiar.)
dragod:
Hi

Glad you are back, and back.

I sent you an email a while ago.
I wonder if you got it.

It was just to the effect that I want
to know more about you.
I'll write another soon.
I think the opportunity to have good men
and women friends around the world
is one of the most exciting things about SG

Also comparing notes can be edifying! Drago

today is a good day. i had my second part of the ashtanga yoga course, and i really liked it. it's different from the yoga i've done before, but still the asanas (postures) are familiar to me, so it's not too difficult. then i had a gorgeous lunch from yesterday's leftovers: tomato soup with cottage cheese, full wheat bread with garlic butter and cabbage-carrot-onion-vinegar salad....

HI, Ashtanga is a great form of yoga! I studied for it for a while, and my teacher has a video of the 3rd series as taught by the man himself, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Write me back if you want to exchange yoga stories. smile
