the weekend in detroit was excellent..
woke up on saturday morning and picked up my buddy in london... grabbed some breakfast at the cityview (bacon included), and then we bombed down to detroit in the ol' buick... got there at about 3, and walked down to the underground stage and caught ectomorph's set.. fucking wicked electro, totally made my day.. hung out at the festival for a few hours, and then we took it to the streets for records and drinks.
pounded back a few pbr's and hung out on a dark street near the labyrinth/city club for a couple of hours just shooting the shit, and then we decided we would kick it to the mgm grand casino.. played some slots, and poker for a while, and then we met up with some friends back at my car.. had a few more drinks and then we hit the rob hood/suburban knight party on grand river.. the party kind of sucked.. i don't think suburban knight showed up, and rob hood only played for about 30-45 minutes before they shut it down..
so, after that we grabbed another beer and headed back to the casino... rolled out of there at about 7am, and drove up to royal oak in an intense fog (weather, not me)... breakfast at the ram's horn with a bunch of blue hairs was pretty funny.. we were pegged as canadians at the table, i still can't figure out what gave us away, and i enjoyed the paul bunyon original breakfast : 3 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, ham, sausage, toast, and a slice of pineapple.. the meat was served on a separate tray... classy... nearly died of a heart attack from laughing so hard after breakfast from references of digging up their customers, and oxygen masks that drop from the ceiling..
caught 2 hours of sleep in a parking garage... freshened up at the barnes & noble... headed back down to hart plaza for another day of music.. highlights of yesterday were carl craig's new project, pole and fat jon, and the three chairs were wicked... caught up with some old friends that i spotted in the crowd, and drank some mgd all day long... got back home at about 4 last night.. totally beat.
good times

The last wedding I was at had an open bar, which isn't a smart idea with my mom's side of the family. Before that, I was at one that had a cash bar, and they were making weak drinks. Not realizing this, I ordered a white russian. As you can probably imagine, a weak white russian = lots of cream, little vodka. Not good!
secretly, you rave.
nevermind why it's edited
