so i should be getting off to bed, the bloody work week starts tomorrow, but i just had to recap the calgary fiasco for anyone who wasn't there. i haven't read anyone else's stories yet, but i will when i'm done this.
so yesterday was a long day, but it was a great time. after meeting up with the core calgary crew at peter's drive-in we headed over to the asian exhibit of globalfest, did some folk dancing, made some water jump, you know.

someone is talking on a megaphone outside my apartment, but i can't make out what they are saying. </sidenote>

after a pint at the ship & anchor we picked up the commie and headed for some food at buddha's veggie restaurant. that was really fine food. the make gluten sweet and sour pork better than what i remember the real thing. i think after this is when we attempted to see some fireworks but failed miserably and caught about 3 bursts. we also couldn't find freakpirate's hotel, and spent a lot of time between the restaurant and the fireworks doing that. no dis to aya, she didn't pretend to know where it is, so it's ok that she didn't. in fact i'll go on record saying that none of our many traffic problems were her fault.
anyways 90 minutes of traffic and road closures later we arrived at the club. i played some pool, pinball and galaga, and did some of the others. most things after that are a bit of a blur. i remember doing some serious dancing in my dants pants, and sitting on the sidewalk waiting for a cab, which is good, but not much else. thanks to atrasties and stateofdenial for the drinks. all that alcohol in 90 minutes.. it was definitely an unwinding weekend.
my old man told me i got home around 4, and he woke me up to go golf at 10. i actually played surprisingly well, a couple birdies and 6 pars, just too many bad holes. i'll work on it.
it was great meeting atrasties, aya, drake, freakpirate, stateofdenial, and too-tall- i'll be leaving testimonials to all your hipness.
and i enjoyed seeing lotus and leningrad again, i guess i can write one for them too. or perhaps it is I who is receiving the testimonial.
