i'm back on the wireless for a few quick words. i tried painting this weekend but it was a lot more work than i originally anticipated. it's only trim, but since it's black over white it needs two or even three coats. i'm pretty much done the first one everywhere, and even finished one of the big windows.
i skipped the lake for the long weekend since i thought i would be busy doing stuff around the apartment, but there really wasn't all that much to do.
i went to chinatown on saturday like i said i would, but didn't find a nice bamboo mat. i did, however, find a great statue of the buddha of compassion, so i bought that.
sunday i checked out the heritage festival. i wasn't too impressed.. i was hoping to find some really good vegan food, but mostly what i found was meat on a stick, and the vegan food i did find was fairly mediocre. i DEFINITELY won't miss taste of edmonton next year
-if your geek factor is less than 40% you can skip this section.- yesterday i setup my wifi sniffer to speak out network names and encryption and put my headphones on and walked downtown. all in all i found about 120 access points, 50 or so of which are unencrypted, and i took down addresses as i walked, so i'm going to create a WAP map (get it? it rhymes) of the downtown core soon. i don't know why. it seemed like a cool idea at the time, and hey, it might be useful.
anyways, that is about all for me.
if you haven't heard MAROON 5 pick up their album today! i haven't stopped listening since december :rocker smiley:
