Oh well, the weather is crap today and if it wasn't for the calendar I'd have sworn the autumn has begon.
Anyway. Pets. Dogs and Cats. And yes, it's raining cats and dogs.
But the weather is not what I want to whine about.
This post is from me, mostly directed to pet-loving folks in The Netherlands. You know, Holland, Amsterdam. Amsterdamned. Legal hasjies and marihuana. Me and friends used to show off when hanging out with foreigners by asking a cop for a lighter when lighting up a joint.
Last november I started a facebook page on which I keep track of animals offered by a few non-profit organisations. And a few days ago I started using twitter to do the same, blurting out links to pets, on my facebook page, which are having a low chance of being adopted because of their age. For what it matters, I'm non-profit myself. It's a nice practice for e-commerce though. I will need that when working out what I intend to in the near future.
The organizations I monitor are on the web themselves, but my purpose is to get the available dogs, and cats, centralized at one point. I don't care what organization you get pets from, I just hope you take a look at whatever they have to offer before buying one from a breeder. My own dog, of course, comes from one of them as well.
The organizations I monitor take care of stray dogs and cats from Farawaycountries, to give them a comfy home in Holland. Well, mine has succeeded. He by now has become the most important, loving, beloved, caring, taken care of person in my life. Right now he's next to me on the couch making it hard to type by lying in his favo position while pushing my right arm aside.
