My best weekend was in the summer of 2015, where I visited my first festival called Rock im Park.
I was 16 years old back then. My friends and I planned everything and packed way too much stuff, a giant tent, lots of food and drinks. It was so hot that weekend, about 40 degrees. I remember that my father picked my friends up and drove us all the way to the Festival. Finding a spot for our tent was a struggle, because everything was so full already! Imagine carrying all our stuff that far in the heat, it was excruciating haha!
We finally found a spot and we had to put our tent right over an ant hill, which was a bit annoying but it's a funny story to tell I think. Drinking was a bit hard, because our beer was so warm (alcohol is legal 16+ in Germany). We gave ourselves stupid henna tattoos and walked around the camping grounds.
The first band we saw was Papa Roach. I've never had so much sweat on me in my entire life! But it was amazing. The music was great, the people were so cool and it was fun to meet so many new friends.
On the last day, there was so much rain and a blizzard so we were evacuated and had to sleep in the parking garage. There was the biggest party ever.
That weekend was so much fun!
