Thankfully things are looking brighter all round since I last posted - the atmosphere has lightened at 'home' and it looks as if I could well be moving into a new flat with my girlfriend, just as soon as we find out whether or not she'll be going back to Germany, which should be some time this week...
I still feel trapped in a weird limbo at the moment though, like a visitor in my own home, and even if not officially, already separated from my family - my bedrocks for the last 19 years. Perhaps I ought to feel excited at the prospect of a new beginning, and I'm sure I will soon, but for the time being I feel just a little weary.
I would like to be back here (Iceland) to get my life back into some proper perspective:
