An interesting problem for the faithful, set by Epicurus:
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
- then he is impotent.
Is he able, but not willing? -
- then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
- whence then is evil?
Have I got a bad head today. Left the record shop where I work at 6 o'clock on Saturday night determined to give my lungs, liver and kidneys the weekend off; they've had to work very hard recently...
...but Manchester is a town so full of temptation it could turn a Temperance Meeting into a piss up, and I am nothing but a weak sinner...
...and one pint, just to be sociable, concluded at 3 in the morning with me collapsed on the 192, the infamous Death Bus, after having visited most of the bars in the Northen Quarter, just to be sociable again, and ending up unable either to speak coherently (at least I hope not! or I've probably got a lot of apologising to do) or stand upright without the support of a bar, or a person, in Smile - surely one of Manchester's shittest clubs.
Spent most of Sunday either asleep, or wishing that I was.
But it's a beautiful day today, the brilliant, fresh sunshine cut by imperious clouds (you see misnomer, if you're reading this, we do see the sun occasionally...).
Love to everyone.
