I'd just like to apologise to everyone for not keeping in touch as much as I should recently - just that my life is pretty chaotic at the moment to say the least, and time/internet access is in short supply at the moment.

Have't forgotten you though, hopefully things will be sorted fairly soon, take care...

Love to everyone x

just came back from some very long train journeys through scotland. i thought about the book you gave to me. the book disturbs that part of me that thrives on order and structure. the way the body changes shape in each new land - sometimes from self-will, sometimes uncontrollably. but so creative in the landscapes and perhaps i can relate to being a little bit lost, a little bit uncertain, destined to make poor decisions, hungry for adventure, and all in all in one great and terrible existential state.

(i'd send you some order for the chaos, but i think it went out the window and i'm trying not to think in binary order/chaos fashion...oh, the headache smile )

barbiq:
good luck! wink

Thankfully things are looking brighter all round since I last posted - the atmosphere has lightened at 'home' and it looks as if I could well be moving into a new flat with my girlfriend, just as soon as we find out whether or not she'll be going back to Germany, which should be some time this week...

I still feel trapped in a weird...

Dude, so sorry things are dissolving. I know how that can be. Joy Division is certainly one soundtrack to all that shit. But so is Shalespeare's Sister and "You're History". wink

You're History.. like a beat up car
No good for me... like an old film star
You're History.. thats what you are
na na na na na
You're History... You're history
My enemy... no good for me

Sending you a manly kiss

I love those images. Incomprehensibly large. And yet, as Blake noted, a universe in a grain of sand. Strange actually because only 10 mins ago I was in a vid store picking up a movie and noticed MiB playing on teh TV screens. It was the bit where the known universe is shown in the cat's trinket.

Nav skills? My dad once tried to take a baring from a moving sheep. He thoguht it was a rocky outcrop. He also once famously calculated our yacht's position to be in the middle of an Island called Mull when we were in fact clearly out at sea. smile

No problem. wink

They were a little santimonious, I agree- but for a good cause. Charity should be at home, but that doesn't stop us from caring about the rest of the world too. Saying that, I'm with you on this:

Sell your collection of shades Bono, your guitar collection Mr.Gilmour, or a few of your mansions Madonna, donate the proceeds to the poor and move into a fucking council house

And why can't they speak up properly? Chris Martin draws on his hand to make a point about War in Iraq, but why doesn't he stand up in front of his enormous auduience and tell the world that Bush is a money-grabbing mass-murdering fuck-head who was too scared to leave US soil during Vietnam....? People listen to idiotic pop stars- the least they can do is speak.

But, on to nice things - good on you with the sweet heart. Big kiss to the love-sick couple!

Had a very pleasant surprise at work yesterday with a visit from the ultra sweet Kit and the equally lovely Kogii. If you're reading this - thanks chaps, you really brightened up my day; hope it won't be too long before you spread some more sunshine in Piccadilly Records...smile

Went to see the excellent and supremely sexy Sons And Daughters at Night And Day...

"If all the matter in the universe except nematodes were swept away, our world would still be recognizable, and if, as disembodied spirits, we could then investigate it, we should find its mountains, hills, vales, rivers, lakes, and oceans represented by a film of nematodes. The location of towns would be decipherable, since for every massing of human beings there would be a corresponding massing...

I almost included "nematode" as one of my words the other day! I occassionally wonder around the flat muttering "nematode, nematode, nematode" while searching for food.

That was an excellent nudibranch photo, btw.

Suddenly recalled War of the Worlds. Hope it's a good remake.
